Melissa Payne's novel Memories in the Drift describes the life of a young woman whose life was forever altered by a medical condition that stripped her of short-term memory. With the support of her neighbors in the unique (real) town of Whittier, Alaska, she has found ways of dealing with her loss...but questions begin to intrude. Our reviewer will be Victor Darr, a brain injury specialist.  Bring yourlunch; the Friends will provide desserts and beverages.

Winter Pops: Saxaphone Masters

The Saxaphone Masters include six members of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra who selected their own repertoire to bring live music to area audiences during the pandemic. By last count, these talented musicians play at least 11 instruments, perform with over 10 groups, hold six or more degreees in music, and have also had day jobs, ranging from music education to composing, and cryptology to medicine. Their WinterPops! appearance is supported by a grant from the Music Performance Trust Fund.
